Hike Big Cypress National Preserve (approximately 2.5 miles) through amazing bald cypress swamps and hardwood hammocks. Passing gators and a variety of birds, including cranes and hawks. Catch your bait along the way as we journey to a beautiful, undisturbed lake filled with exotic and native fish. After a day of handline fishing with the Yoyito reel, we’ll pitch our tents by the lake and spend the evening cleaning and cooking our fish over the campfire. American Survival Co. instructor, and former Naval Special Warfare, Joel Graves, will teach attendees how to safely navigate the land and waters during the hike, identify edible and medicinal plant life, how to build a primitive campfire and secure shelter.
During this 2 day/1 night event, attendees will catch loads of fish using a handline, learn navigation techniques, and how to thrive off the land. If you’ve been wanting to explore the Florida Everglades, this is your opportunity – book now, limited spots available. American Survival Co. has partnered with Fishing Yoyito to provide this exclusive opportunity.
